Early Years

The American Academy Early Years understands the importance of pre-school education and offers a rich and varied educational programme based on the English curriculum for the foundation years.

With fully qualified teachers and assistants, all fluent in the English and Greek languages, children soon begin to develop their social skills taking their first steps in school.

Optional bus service and hot lunch are available.

The Early Years foundation curriculum allows children to:

• use language to communicate with adults and other children

• listen, respond and co-operate as part of a group

• create and recognise patterns and sequence

• understand simple ideas of weight, length and volume

• recognise the use of print to carry information, stories and ideas

• enjoy stories, poems and music

• recognise similarities and differences between sorting and matching

• learn rhythm and dance
