      The first environmentally friendly school
      Presented by
      Private American School in Paphos

      The Private American School in Paphos presented the new school in Paphos very formally. The presentation took place at the Elysium Hotel on Friday 18th of December 2009, in the presence of the members of Pariament of Paphos, public councellors, representatives of all banking and financial institutions. The factor that left a great impression on the town, was watched by a large number of people (over 500 people), parents of students, friends and all those who value the School`s project.The conference was conducted under the auspices of the mayor of Paphos Mr. Savva Verga, Addressing those who were present, talked about the challenges of today and the need to upgrade the educational system. He stressed the importance of establishing the new School, conqradulated those who inspired it and wished them luck in all of the endeavours.

      The president of the Board of Directors,George Bargilis, with feelings of overwhelming joy, spoke of a vision and dream that was coming to life .He also mentioned his commitment to the project regarding the working rhythm of the new school. Setting the limits to the short term as well as the long term goals of the educational organization, he did not hide his pride regarding his past successes but mostly due to the fact that a large number of students that are studying in various universities all over the world come from his schools as well a large number of scientists that live in our society.

      The presentation of the building establishments, the services, the work and educational assistance ,the abudance of environmentally friendly system that will be placed and the use of completely recyclable substances, were presented by the representatives of the architectural firm who produced the plans. The latest technologies that are being applied in Europe and America have been taken into consideration.

      The school will be ready this forthcoming summer and from the school year 2010 -2011 it will shelter both the Primary and Secondary students of the Private American School in Paphos.

      The conference satisfied all those who were present and filled the parents, the teachers as well as the students with optimism.
