Charitable event and artistic programme dedicated to Evagoras Pallikarides
Dear parents,
We would like to inform you that our school is beginning a charitable drive of assistance for fellow Greeks and Paphians that have fallen victim of the economic crisis. Our charitable drive will include the donation of clothing and dry food products.
The campaign, “I love Greece…but I also love Paphos,” commencing on March 14th and ending on March 21st with a full day of activities on our school grounds, is dedicated to the young Paphian student and poet Evagoras Pallikarides.
To assist our fellow citizens, our school has joined forces with the ANAKYKLOS organization so if you wish to contribute by donating clothing, shoes and bags you can place your donations in the designated purple ANAKYKLOS clothing banks that can be found throughout the region of Paphos.
The collection of food will be take place in the building of the Private American School of Paphos where food will be collected and packaged on March 21st.
Throughout the day of the charitable drive (10 a.m – 4 p.m) our students will contribute to the events by performing an artistic programme dedicated to Evagoras Pallikarides. This artistic programme will include lyrical and dramatic poetry, recitations, a poetry competition, a presentation of mural paintings, Greek and Cypriot dances and the viewing of a documentary. Stassinos (Stass) Paraskos will be opening the mural painting. These are just some of the many activities that our talented students will partake in during the course of the day.
During these events there will be refreshments and snacks on sale at reasonable prices, of which all the proceeds with be donated to this charitable cause.
We appeal to your charitable nature and invite you to supplement our efforts to support fellow Greeks and Paphians in need. Your valuable contribution of snacks, food, drinks and clothing will be most appreciated.
Whoever wishes to volunteer for the collection and packaging of donated food products can confirm their participation by calling the following number: 96567496, 96417407.
We are looking forwarding to seeing you at our school on Wednesday 21st March with your friends and family because the need for food and clothing is never-ending…
Thanking you in advance for your assistance,
Private American School of Paphos
