Where to purchase

We are pleased to announce that from September 2011 we will have a new school uniform for our secondary schools in Limassol and Paphos.

The new uniform will be gradually phased in over the next academic year and students may still wear the existing uniform until June 2012. The new school uniform can be purchased at the following shops:

The Uniform

All school uniform items must be purchased from the approved school uniform retailer.

All clothing should be clearly marked with the student’s name and must be clean, tidy and pressed at all times.

Girls Uniform Boys Uniform

Summer Uniform:

  • Short sleeve school shirt or School polo shirt, no coloured T-shirts inside (only white).
  • School skirt or school trousers.
  • Dark blue, white or black socks (skin coloured tights are optional).
  • Low heeled black shoes (completely black trainers permitted, No boots of any kind).

Winter Uniform:

  • School blazer with school badge.
  • Long sleeve school shirt (winter) top button done up and tucked in, no coloured T-shirts inside (only white).
  • School tie which should be knotted properly at correct length.
  • School dark blue V-necked sweater (optional).
  • School anorak (optional).

Summer Uniform:

  • Short sleeve school shirt or School polo shirt, no coloured T-shirts inside (only white).
  • School grey trousers.
  • Grey, dark blue or black socks.
  • Black shoes (completely black trainers permitted, No boots of any kind).
  • Black leather belt.

Winter Uniform:

  • School blazer with school badge.
  • Long sleeve school shirt (winter) top button done up and tucked in, no coloured T-shirts inside (only white).
  • School tie which should be knotted properly at correct length.

P.E. Kit for Boys and Girls of all Secondary Classes:

School tracksuit; American Academy T-shirt (House colour) School shorts; White Socks.

Accessories

Jewellery:

Jewellery is not permitted other than a small pair of matching earrings one on each earlobe (girls only) and/or one discreet item of religious significance. Other items will be confiscated immediately by membersof staff and will be returned at the end of term. Second offence will be confiscated until the end of the year.


Girls’ hair:

No fancy hairstyles; dyed, extensions, streaked hair etc are not acceptable.Hair accessories should be in dark blue (discreet)


Boys’ hair:

1.   Tidy, clean and well kept with no fancy or inappropriate hairstyles. The over application of hair products (wax, gel, etc) will not be tolerated. Students with hair that is deemed untidy or inappropriate will be sent home.

2.   Clean shaven; boys who are not clean shaven will be provided with a razor and shaving foam and be asked to shave before they go into class (€1 charge for the Charity Box will be made).

Repeated offences will lead to discipline action.

Alternatively they will be sent home after parents have been notified and will be marked absent.

Students with extremely short hair will not be allowed to take part in the national parades.


Make-up & Nail-varnish:

not permitted. A €1 charge for the Charity Box will be made for the removal of nail-varnish. Repeated offences will lead to discipline action.


Scarves:

Navy blue only (allowed with winter uniform)


Sun Glasses:

Only allowed if a medicalcertificate is produced and at the Pastoral Assistant’s discretion.


Hats/Caps:

Are NOT allowed and will be confiscated.
